What We Collect
Email address: Collected when you provide it before your first message. Purpose: save and restore your conversations on return visits. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Not used for marketing or newsletters. You may be asked separately if you would like to opt in to receive updates.
Conversations: Your chat messages and AI responses. Purpose: deliver the service. Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)). Retained until you request deletion.
Usage analytics: Anonymous usage data collected via PostHog to understand how the tool is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). PostHog is not yet active; this is included proactively.
Technical data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type). Purpose: security and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). Retained per hosting provider defaults.
Cookies
Single cookie (lc_email), strictly necessary (functional) under the ePrivacy Directive. Purpose: remember your email so you don't need to re-enter it on return visits. 30-day expiry. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Data Retention
Email and conversations: retained until you request deletion. Server logs: per Vercel defaults. Analytics: per PostHog defaults.
International Transfers
Data is processed by services based in the United States: Anthropic (AI response generation), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics). Appropriate safeguards are in place as required by GDPR.
Your Rights (GDPR)
EU/EEA residents have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing), and lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

Changes
